I am incredibly humbled and honored to share some exciting news: I have been officially nominated for the U21 Leaders of the Future Award!
Receiving the email from the U21 Secretariat was a moment of deep reflection for me. This award isn't just about individual recognition; it’s designed to celebrate those who are leading change, empowering others, and fostering global collaboration. To be nominated by my colleagues within the U21 network for my contribution to internationalisation is a milestone I don’t take lightly.
Leadership with Purpose
When I think about being a "Leader of the Future," I don't see it as a destination or a position of power. To me, leadership is a responsibility. My goal has always been clear: to be a part of the impact on the well-being of both people and the planet.
In an increasingly interconnected world, we cannot separate human progress from environmental health. Whether through international collaboration or local initiatives, our leadership must be:
Empathetic: Prioritizing the well-being of every individual.
Sustainable: Ensuring our planet thrives for generations to come.
Collaborative: Breaking down borders to solve global challenges.
The Road to Glasgow
The final winners will be announced at the U21 Annual Network Meeting at the University of Glasgow on April 21st, 2026. Regardless of the final outcome, being recognized within this prestigious network is already a win. It reinforces the idea that when we work toward the greater good, our efforts resonate far beyond our own backyards.
