1. Gamma Rays 
- What: Highest-energy light in the electromagnetic spectrum 
- Where they come from: Radioactive decay, supernovas, black holes, lightning
- Use: Medical imaging and cancer treatment, sterilizing equipment, astronomy
- Danger: Can damage DNA because they’re so energetic. We block them with lead or thick concrete

2. Gamma Function
- What: The math function that extends factorials to real and complex numbers. Written as $\Gamma(n)$
- Key idea: $\Gamma(n) = (n-1)!$ for whole numbers. So $\Gamma(5) = 4! = 24$
- Use: Statistics, physics, probability distributions, quantum mechanics
